Summary:
Functioning under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the Hospice Aide provides personal care services and medication to the terminally ill patient and performs related tasks in accordance with the plan of treatment as assigned by the Case Manager and RN. Responsible for carrying out the duties assigned in order to increase the level of comfort, and to maintain personal hygiene and a safe environment for the patient an co-workers. Follows unit specific policies and procedures, and maintains competencies of assigned department.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age and is a High school graduate or equivalent
Maryland Nursing Assistant Certification
BLS certification (must complete within provisional period)
Preferred
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a CNAEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
