The selected candidate will provide support for the AN/SPN-46(V) Radar System at Webster Field in St.Inigoes MD. Responsibilities will include material testing, component level testing, system specific production, cable fabrication, component level soldering, test procedure development, Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) development, flight testing support and daily maintenance.
Will also provide fleet support duties to include distance support to the US Navy Fleet, systems maintenance, equipment installation, cable fabrication, fiber-optic cable installation, and other fleet support related requirements of U.S Navy Air Traffic Control approach and landing systems. The position could require travel (up to 25%25) worldwide, with the potential for temporary assignments in Norfolk VA, San Diego CA, and outside the United States. The position could require getting underway on US Navy vessels for periods of several weeks at a time.
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station.

Required Skills and Education
High school diploma and at least four years related experience in electronics maintenance and repair
Ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance
Ability to obtain a passport
Ability to lift bulky material, not to exceed 50 lbs
Ability to work onboard US Navy Ships, to include extensive walking up and down multiple flights of stairs
Willingness to travel (up to 25%25) worldwide, with the potential for temporary assignments in Norfolk VA, San Diego CA, and outside CONUS
Military (Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force or Coast Guard) or civilian electronics training in Radar Systems and/or electronics repair
Preferred Skills and Education
Associate degree in Engineering or Electronics discipline
Military Radar Systems maintenance and repair experience
Air Traffic Control Systems maintenance and repair experience
Landing Systems experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
